Woke up at 3 am and jumped out of bed! I was wide awake. Left the house at 3:35 am. Left boyfriend's house at 4 am. Got to meeting spot at 420ish am. Left there at 5 am. Got to the lake we were fishing at around 540 am. Got in water around 6ish am. The moonlight was above us and was so beautiful. Fished til 240 pm. Left lake during 3 pm. Got home at who knows.
Yes I was crazy for waking up so early and doing this, but it was fun. The real challenge? Will be doing it all over again tomorrow. Yup 2 early and long days of fishing in a row. All weekend. It's worth it.
Today was my FIRST time hooking and catching the bass all BY MYSELF! TWICE! The FIRST TWO catches of the day!! WOOHOO! Why yes, I am proud of myself :D It gave me confidence and let me know I could do it. I got a few other bites but lost the fish. The saddening part was that all were too small to be keepers :( Even Robbie's catches weren't big enough. If the rule was 2 inches smaller, I would've had one and he would've had 2 or 3. But there is always tomorrow. Luckily, we get to sleep in and meet at a later time. Meaning the destination should be closer, and could very well be the place me and Robbie are rootin' for. I have a really good feeling tomorrow will be an excellent fishing day, for everyone. The only success of today was one member catching an 8 pounder. Damn he was lucky. Caught the bass on a bed. That's what we were trying to do. Ah well, I gotta hit the sheets early.
